Shorebirds and a variety of ducks were seen locally today in 2 locationsAt Horseshoe Bay:  4 American Golden Plovers and 3 Juvenile Black-bellied Plovers. Horseshoe Bay is on Miramichi Road in between Port Elgin and Southampton.  Miramichi Road is on the water front of Lake Huron.  There are 2 bays on that road and Horseshoe Bay is the bay closest to Southampton.

At the Independent Grocery store ponds in Port Elgin were seen 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 5 Blue-winged Teal, 2 Northern Shovelers and 3 American Widgeon.  The Independent can be found on Highway 21 at the north end of Port Elgin.
