Confessions of a Crazed Photographer w/ Ethan Meleg

Thursday, December 10 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

December 10, Indoor Program
Ethan Meleg- Confessions of a Crazed Photographer

As an outdoor photographer, Ethan Meleg has crawled through mud, kayaked deep into swamps, endured -30°C temperatures and hiked for miles in total darkness (often with 40 pounds of camera gear on his back) to capture spectacular photos of nature. In this presentation, Ethan shares his insight into the inspiration, passion and knowledge that drives great nature photography. Illustrated by his favourite photos and stories, this light-hearted and humorous presentation is sure to entertain and inspire!

Ethan has been photographing wild places, outdoor adventures and wildlife for over 30 years. He says he lives, breathes and dreams nature photography. Is it a passion or an obsession? Maybe both! His photos have been in many magazines including National Geographic, Canadian Geographic, Destination Canada and Destination Ontario. His home is in Owen Sound at the base of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula.

OSFN Indoor Meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre, 1900 3rd Ave E Owen Sound. There are no Indoor Meetings in July and August. Please see the individual event listings below for more details.

We invite speakers with a wide range of expertise from Grey/Bruce and other parts of the province. These evenings are open to the public. The auditorium is open by 6:30. The meeting gets under way at 7:00, and may include brief announcements by other organizations as well as OSFN club activities, club business, social time, nature sightings and reports.

The club also offers a full schedule of outdoor activities during the year. Through these outings, members learn more about the birds, plants, mammals and geology of this part of Ontario. We also keep a protective eye on our precious natural areas.
