Other Info
The Slough of Despond, near Big Bay, is a remnant of Glacial Lake Algonquin. It was cut off from the main glacial lake by a massive abandoned beach complex some 11, 000 year ago. See how a remarkable combination of factors resulted in its formation, and discover how it was named. We will be looking at the slough and its formation from the edges, so will be avoiding wet situations.
Sunday, October 27th, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Limit: 12 participants. Register with Bob Gray at kemblemt@xplornet.ca or call 519 371 9128.
