Resilience with Marilyn Struthers and John Anderson
November 12, 2020 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Field Naturalists welcome John Anderson & Marilyn Struthers in a conversation about our beautiful community and climate change. The film Resilience was created locally to build awareness and engagement in the most pressing threat to our natural environment in our life times.
Watch the film, and then come for a discussion about what we can do to play our part in preserving the beautiful landscapes we live in. John and Marilyn will talk about how they came to be a part of local film-making, what has happened since and what are others doing in our community now. They will create the opportunity to meet in small groups and think together about what we are thinking about and doing now – and how our contributions can fit together.
Join a ZOOM meeting where Marilyn Struthers and John Anderson will facilitate and host a discussion motivated by the film Resilience: Transforming our Community.
Those participating will form small discussion groups (break out groups). These groups will cover certain topics and issues; and will then be drawn into a sharing of discussion/planning results and a wrap up.
Anyone planning to attend the ZOOM event on November 12, is asked to watch this movie in advance of the meeting. You can find the film on You Tube:
Or visit the Resilience webpage for more information about the project:
Details on how to join the Zoom meeting will be sent out in an e-Herald Wednesday Nov. 11th. Or email firstname.lastname@example.org for the links!

The meeting gets under way at 7:00, and may include brief announcements by other organizations as well as OSFN club activities, club business, social time, nature sightings and reports.
The club also offers a full schedule of outdoor activities during the year. Through these outings, members learn more about the birds, plants, mammals and geology of this part of Ontario. We also keep a protective eye on our precious natural areas.
