Explore the remarkable diversity of ferns found on the Bruce Peninsula\, learn to identify local species\, and discover their ancient natural history. Ferns represent one of the oldest plant groups on Earth and offer a fascinating glimpse into the long natural history of the peninsula. This hike covers uneven and sometimes demanding terrain. Tyler will help you understand the natural history of these neighbours of ours that illuminate autumn and feed many animals. Tyler is a skilled ecologist boasting more than fifteen years of experience\, primarily in Bruce and Grey. A natural curiosity drives his desire to explore and understand the intricate connections within wild ecosystems. For the past five years\, he has played a pivotal role in the updating of the OSFN’s Field Guides about ferns\, orchids and most recently asters\, goldenrods and fleabanes. \n\n\n\nCan’t join us in person?
