SUMMARY:Sustainable Agriculture Initiatives Tour
DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Agriculture Initiatives Tour with Ray RobertsonThe sites include various measures like – a variety of methods of stream bank stabilization\, fisheries rehabilitation\, reforestation\, numerous alternate and innovative water systems for cattle on pasture\, stream crossings\, etc. Lots of good stuff. During many numerous conferences and bus tours of the Bighead River Watershed in early 1990’s\, when the demonstration projects were being implemented\, participants were extremely positive about the variety and quality of the program\, but many commented that they would like to see how the techniques stood the pressure of the water flow after a couple of years. This is an excellent opportunity to witness first-hand\, how they have stood the test over 20 years. You will see how they have matured\, and have even exceeded what many would have expected. A great example of a community effort with team work at its best – When you can implement a practical\, farmer-driven initiative.\nRegister: Ray Robertson\, ray@greyagservices.ca or 519-986-3756 Limit: 20 participants
