As of today, this rare and endangered species has produced 8 Piping Plover chicks from 3 separate sets of breeding parents.
The 3 sets of nestlings hatched roughly a week apart and observers can see the size differences between the them. With a few more days of development, the chances of having all of them reach adulthood will be good. To observe these birds, go to the north end of Sauble Beach. Volunteers will be around to help you with the sightings.
