The species of the day was definitely the numerous Lapland Longspurs that were found on … the side roads just south of Kinkardine. Other notables were 4 species of gulls with the Ring-billed Gulls returning, and the Glaucous Gull found on the ice on the lagoons adjacent to the garbage dump. The day was “both glorious and chilling in the wind. All in all, 30 species of birds were seen.
